Truce To Navigation

Yarr ahoy there me hearties, on International Talk Like A Pirate Day! (ITLAPD)

I find that it be far easier to talk piratey if not actually vocalizin’, although me computer don’t seem to recognize many of me piratey words. Like “piratey”, for instance. Anyways, in celebration of this day, I be watchin’ Essgee’s Production of The Slave Of Duty, better known as Pirates of Penzance. It be a mighty fine and jim-dandy production. There be something about a purple-panted Jon English that is amazin’ly entertainin’. Currently the Major General be singin’ about ridin’ horses.

Today also be the birthday of that bonny lass Stephanie J Block. She now be officially 37, given that the USA finds themselves joinin’ us for our day of pillagin’ and plunderin’ (at 8:31 at night – they took their time!). Because of this fact I have bought meself a copy of Because I am A Wife, from her album, because that be from the musical The Pirate Queen and it seemed to be fittin’ in nicely with today’s theme. The gist and thrust of the matter be that this blogger be wishin’ her a jim-dandy day full o’ chocolate coins and laughter.

Me next bit of news is that I no longer be a member of the ranks of the unemployed. Aye! That be right: I have obtained meself a job. I be a children’s party host, so it may be, as I ascend thru the ranks, that ITLAPD comes around more than once a year! Bring on the pirate parties!

Now the Pirates and the Major General be discussin’ the difference ‘twixt orphan and often. “Exactly, you said often frequently only once.”

So now I must be gettin’ back to the land of the purple panted loon.

Fare thee well, me hearties!

the Captain of Crete, the Master of the Pleb, the Lady of the North;

Her Royal Raddness, Dame Marley Butler
